Location, location, location! It really was a big tick in our books. With the hotel centrally located in Manhattan, we managed to easily walk to many of the city's sights. Don't forget that Manhattan is HUGE, so the block sizes are massive. Despite this we managed to cover most of the midtown sights in one day, all within 30mins of walking distance. If we felt too tired to walk, the subway was only at the end of the same block. Food was easily accessible too. Step out of the hotel and turn left, and there's the perfect opportunity to try out excellent New York pizza slices. Perfect! Now, the rooms aren't big - they're quite small and a little but expensive for what you get - BUT it is New York and it IS very centrally located, so I'm not really complaining. Best part though? The staff. The reception staff were so accommodating when we arrived at 6am. They didn't have a room ready but they offered us a big smile and ensured us they would try their best to get us a room. After finding breakfast and walking around midtown to kill time, we came back at noon for them to surprise us with an available room. THANK YOU! Bell staff were amazing and even my children commented that they were good at their job offering insider knowledge of the local area and helping with our bags, always with a smile. So, THANK YOU to your great staff. I'd definitely stay again.

I liked the helpful staff, reception porters, restaurant 😀 Ioved my room, it was perfect for a person with limited mobility like me. The location was great, I went to Broadway and Central Park, China Town and joined a cruise to Bermuda..I stayed there before and after the cruise and was treated like royalty. The manager-owner of the restaurant was wonderful and I felt very special .The porter, Carlos was very helpful with assistance with taxis and ways to get around the city with suggestions on what to look at. As a senior solo traveller, DoubleTree by Hilton was perfect for me.

I like the warm sense of hospitality that I received from Sonam as soon as I entered. He’s ready to help you and is beyond cheerful when doing so. Then you make your way to the front desk and that’s where I met Casey.. there were some discrepancies with my booking and Casey went above and beyond to service me. She is really unlike anyone I’ve ever met the way she’s so poised and helpful. I went upstairs and came back down she still remembered my issue and my name. I didn’t have to even speak. She is by far an angel.

Location was very good for us - right between the train station and the theater district; a 15-minute walk to Central Park; about a 10-minute walk from the Times Square and 5th Avenue shops. Room was a bit small/tight; there really wasn't much room outside of the beds for our bags, etc. The bathroom was also quite small and didn't have enough counter space for makeup/toiletries and didn't have enough towel racks. But this is New York; so, space is expensive I know!

The property is located next to a convenient transportation station. The bus terminal station and the subway station mostly is 1-2 blocks away. It has tons of restaurants and shopping stores around. The hotel is about 5 blocks away from time square. It’s a walkable area around the hotel. The hotel room is very clean. Only the room is a little small for 3 adults.
